A story of a plane crash in the US: United 232. On the 295 people in the plane, 185 survived. All others pilots would have killed everyone.

The key to success: Crew Resource Management. The captain listened to his crew, there were no heroes.

Encourage the team to work together. Celebrate successes as a team.

Everyone has a voice. Don’t be the only voice, give the engineers space to make mistakes and to grow. Use your authority to ensure every voice of the crew has been heard.

Software is a sport team. Build team culture.
